To mark a patient\u2019s whole face before converting it into digitalised format by using the outdated 3D device took days to complete. Hence it was infeasible in operation. Moreover, due to heavy R&D costs and other unforeseen human resource matters, the project was called off by the University in Year 1999 after the last original researcher left the University.<\/span><\/p>\n Dr. FuShih-Pan continues his practice in Plastic Surgery after he left U-Penn and incorporated his own bio-tech company in Year 2003 doing research and manufacturing a range of high end bio-medical anti ageing products. <\/span><\/p>\n 10 years later, good news came in. It was an afternoon in spring 2004 when Dr. Pan noticed the news concerning the commercialization of 3D Technology. 3D printers and 3D scanners were gradually being marketed at a much lower price. ABOUT US<\/span><\/h2>\n[\/vc_column_text][vc_separator color=”#ffffff” type=”small” position=”left” up=”19″ down=”30″][vc_column_text]MIRACO-3D Research is a R&D project founded by Dr. FuShih-Pan at the Centre of Human Appearance of the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine, the USA, while he was relocated from Chicago to Pennsylvania in year 1994 and assigned for the position of residents in Orthopaedic Department in University of Pennsylvania. Owing to Dr. Pan\u2019s experimental studies in 3-dimensional technology for human appearance back in Chicago, Dr. Linton Whitaker, the director of Centre of Human Appearance encouraged Dr. Pan and the group of other residents to launch a new research project in the application of \u201c3D Technology in Plastic and Cosmetic Surgeries\u201d by offering them a seed fund.
